Job description

The Role

To oversee and manage the development and implementation of daily operations, programs and activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of elderly clients. The Programme Supervisor ensures that services are person-centered, safe, engaging, and aligned with the center’s mission to enhance the quality of life for seniors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily running of operations and programmes by prioritising the safety and well-being of all the clients and adhering to the care philosophy of the Foundation.
  • Plan, coordinate and run diversified programmes and activities to take client preferences into account.
  • Be part of a multi-disciplinary team (doctor, nurse, social worker, counsellor) to provide bio-psycho-social assessment, intervention and care plans for the elders and caregivers.
  • Ensure that all care staff adhere to person-centred practice and carry out care plans determined by the interdisciplinary team.
  • Supervise logistics and transport arrangements for clients
  • Liaise with clients, family members, and volunteers and maintain daily open communication.
  • Monitor the budget and expense of the programme.
  • Review and implement the SOP for the service model.
  • Ensure that the Centre is in compliance with all regulations.
  • Provide regular reporting to management.

Educational Qualifications

  • Degree/ Graduate Diploma in any discipline with minimum 3 years working experience in eldercare, social services or related fields

Relevant Experience

  • Training/ Experience in social service/healthcare/ nursing is an advantage
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Committed and passionate about working with the elderly
  • Good communications and writing skills
  • Strong inter-personal and people skills
  • Able to communicate with clients in English, Mandarin and dialect-speaking
