7am to 4pm
7.30am to 4.30pm
8am to 5pm
8:30am to 6:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Support the activities of special needs students and/or child in the Centre.
- Support and supervise the student's activities in the Centre and engage them actively during the SCC operating hours.
- Assist to upkeep and maintain the SCC facility.
- Support and work with the Centre Supervisor for the smooth operations of the Centre.
- Assist the Supervisor and management in meeting the student enrolment targets and profit goals.
- Support and help the children in their SPED academic, social, personal hygiene, music, art and motor skills to promote the students’ physical, mental and social development.
- Assist and work with the Supervisor to upkeep and maintain the facility.
- Conduct weekly inspection on the premise and ensure that it is compliance with existing APSN/regulatory (MSF) requirements.
- Assist and recommend instructional materials and teaching aids needed to facilitate the teaching of our students.
- Ensure that food is administered to the students in accordance to proper food handling and hygiene practice in accordance to HACCP requirements.
- Work with the Centre Supervisor and ensure the safety and well-being of each individual child.
- Observe children to detect signs of ill health or emotional disturbance and evaluate progress.
- Maintain an appropriate atmosphere of safety, learning, and fun.
- Assist the Centre Supervisor on student enrolment, expense, manpower, operations and etc.
- Engage the children under the Centre care and perform classroom‑teaching duties in accordance to the curriculum developed by APSN.
- Supervise the student’s activities in the Centre and engage them actively.
- Work with the Centre Supervisor and report to school leaders on SCC matters, according to the requirements of Ministry of Education.
- Work with parents/teaching staff regarding student behavioral or learning problems, and recommend methods of modifying inappropriate behaviour and encouraging learning experiences.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate with 1‑3 years of relevant working experience in the social service sector. Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.
- Preferably, candidate with Diploma in community and social services (or any other equivalent or higher certification).
- Applicants with WSQ certification is of an added advantage (WSQ Introductory Student Care Centre).
- Certification in First Aid (CPR & AED) and WSQ Basic Food Hygiene is of an added advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
