Job Description

The National University of Singapore is seeking a highly motivated candidate as a Program Lead for Age Well Everyday at the Yeo Boon Khim Mind Science Centre. Reporting to the Centre Director, the candidate will manage a nexus linking research, ground-level implementation, stakeholder engagement, event management and team development. The candidate is to ensure the programme's robustness, sustainability, and relevance in addressing Singapore's imminent ageing challenges.

Appointments will be made on a 2-year contract basis with the possibility of extension.


Duties & Responsibilities


1. Program Vision & Strategy

• Develop program vision and strategies
• Prepare and submit regular strategic reports to board, program committee, senior management and donors, detailing the program's performance, plans, and needs
• Undertake the day to day running of the program
• Oversee program financial management, including budget planning, resource allocation, expense tracking, and procurement processe

2. Content Development and Evaluation

• Monitor trends in healthy ageing to identify growth opportunities
• Develop strategic positioning for educational and research content and materials, and refresh content regularly to increase their relevance and impact
• Design program evaluation and measure program efficacy

3. Capacity Building in the Community & Partner Collaboration

• Build capacity and capability through training of healthcare professionals, educators, caregivers, volunteers and students in mental health

4. Research Collaboration & Implementation

• Collaborate with Principal Investigators on multi-disciplinary translational research and develop, pilot and implement population-based interventions
• Identify new opportunities to expand the program's scope and influence

5.Stakeholder Management & Feedback Integration

• Design and maintain networks with public and private stakeholders to foster partnerships and collaboration
• Develop, deliver, and evaluate the program's marketing and brand communication strategies
• Organise outreach initiatives to engage stakeholders and build a community of practice, such as webinars, networking sessions and conferences.
• Ensure events are effectively planned, executed, and evaluated for continuous improvement
• Develop collaterals and marketing materials such as decks, brochures, fact sheets, videos
• Negotiate agreements and secure funding for initiatives and projects

6. Volunteer Management, Training & Certification

• Facilitate volunteer management, training and development to improve skills, capacities and capabilities
• Coordinate volunteer activities, including recruitment, training, certification, development and appreciation

7. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and develop the team, including researchers and administrative support staff.
• Work closely with the team to ensure efficient operation and high-quality output.
• Promote a positive and supportive working environment to foster productivity and job satisfaction
• Support Centre Director on strategic projects. The candidate will perform duties that require significant confidentiality, sensitivity, tact, maturity and independent judgement
• Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Degree in ageing psychiatry, gerontology or public health from a recognised University with at least 3 years of experience
• Experience in managing seniors community-based programs will be an advantage
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, meticulous and attentive to details
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
• Adhere to high standards of professional integrity and ethics
