Maybank is embarking on a strategic transformation program, aimed at significantly enhancing the customer on-boarding journey and improving the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes in Singapore. We are seeking a Program Director to lead this initiative, operating as a senior individual contributor with direct accountability for program delivery, stakeholder engagement and business adoption.

This role will partner closely with the Centre of Excellence (COE) team in Malaysia and collaborate across Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Business teams to ensure a seamless and future-ready on-boarding experience aligned with regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the end-to-end SG leg for this program, delivering transformation outcomes across on-boarding and CDD automation.
  • Act as the central point of contact for program delivery in Singapore, working across compliance, technology, operations, and business teams.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis of existing on-boarding and due diligence processes to gather and drive alignment of requirements across countries
  • Lead the alignment of the Target Operating Model (TOM) for on-boarding and CDD, ensuring it reflects regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and customer experience goals
  • Collaborate with COE teams in Malaysia to ensure requirements are captured and oversee development progress
  • Lead and facilitate business testing, user validation, and rollout activities to ensure adoption and readiness
  • Drive business change and adoption, including stakeholder alignment, training, and transition planning
  • Present regular updates, risks, issues, and recommendations to senior management and steering committees
  • Ensure program governance, documentation, reporting, and compliance to internal standards
  • Foster a collaborative and outcomes-driven culture, navigating complexity with resilience and agility

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience, including 7+ years in program/project management, business transformation, or strategic change roles
  • At least 5 years in the banking or financial services sector, with hands-on experience in compliance, KYC/CDD, or customer on-boarding programs
  • Proven ability to blend strategic thinking with executional rigor, operating effectively as a hands-on Program Director and Business Analyst
  • Strong experience in data analysis, business process mapping, and defining future-state operating models
  • Demonstrated success in driving business adoption, engaging diverse stakeholders, and delivering transformation outcomes in complex environments
  • Expertise in managing cross-border delivery teams, particularly in an APAC context, with prior experience collaborating with offshore COE or shared service teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with comfort in dealing with C-level and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with an ability to simplify and synthesize complex information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with MAS regulations and risk/compliance transformation programs
  • Experience in using tools such as JIRA, Confluence for delivery
  • Background in Agile or hybrid delivery frameworks is a plus
