Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of SOC operations, Incident response lifecycle and cybersecurity frameworks.
• 8–10 years+ network security experience, preferably with a vendor.
• 5+ years’ experience in LAN/WAN/Internet Support or Administration.
• 3+ years’ experience with Network Security Products.
• Bachelor’s degree in EE, CS, or CE or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Professional Services engagements for Fortinet customers with timely delivery and high satisfaction.
• Develop understanding of customer requirements including project scope and design.
• Conduct design workshops with customers remotely and onsite.
• Lead deployment, migration and optimization of Fortinet solutions in customer environments.
• Execute project tasks within timelines and quality standards.
• Act as trusted advisor and provide technical consultation during delivery.
• Maintain expert knowledge of Fortinet technologies and best practices.
• Interface with partners and share knowledge internally.
• Develop and update implementation templates and assets.
• Communicate project information to Fortinet management and stakeholders.
• Resolve issues promptly and escalate when needed.
• Complete administrative tasks like timesheets and project reports on time.
• Ensure completion of SOW, knowledge transfer, and customer satisfaction surveys.

As aProfessional Services Consultant, you will:

• Carry out Professional Services engagements in a professional & timely manner for Fortinet customers & deliver projects with customer satisfaction in mind.
• Develop a clear overall understanding of the customer requirements (project scope, technical requirements and solution design)
• Conduct design workshops with customers and stakeholders both remotely as well as onsite.
• Lead the deployment, migration and optimization of Fortinet solutions in Customer environments.
• Execute project tasks in accordance with project timelines and quality standards.
• Act as a trusted advisor during project delivery and provide technical consultation to customers.
• Continuously develop knowledge and skills to remain proficient with Fortinet technologies to provide best practice advice during project delivery
• Maintain expert-level technical knowledge in the following technology disciplines as they relate to Fortinet’s products:
  • Network Security Infrastructure – Switching, Routing
    • Security Information and Event Management.
    • Security Orchestration, Automation and Response.
    • Centralized logging, analytics, reporting and threat investigation.
    • Endpoint/Network Detection and Response.
• Have experience in deploying or running a Security Operations Center would be a bonus.
• Interface with Fortinet’s Business and Technology partners within designated technology discipline and distribute that knowledge internally within Fortinet.
• Develop and update implementation best practices, templates and reusable technical assets.
• Effectively communicates relevant project information to Fortinet management as appropriate
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
• Complete and submits any required administrative tasks in a timely manner
  (timesheets, activities report, project reports, etc…).
• Follow up with customer and internal Fortinet departments to ensure project documentation is completed:
  • Creation of Statement of Work document
    • Acknowledgement of work performed including work complete signing
    • Knowledge Transfer
    • Customer satisfaction surveys

We Are Looking For:

• Strong understanding of SOC operations, Incident response lifecycle and Cybersecurity frameworks.
• 8 - 10 years + relevant network security experience. preferably with a network security vendor.
• 5+ Years’ experience in LAN/WAN /Internet Support or Administration
• 3+ Years’ experience with Network Security Products
• Customer centric mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Teamwork and cross functional collaboration with regional team members.
• Problem solving and critical thinking.
• Ability to work well under pressure and remain focused on the tasks in hand.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network & security environment
• Strong knowledge of the security threat landscape
• Previous Technical support position (other PS or TAC position), or Sales Engineering
• background advantageous
• Network security certifications (Fortinet NSE 4 minimum and above)
• External network security & vendor certifications such as Cisco, F5, Juniper, Checkpoint, AWS area are a plus
• Strong understanding of core Internet protocols and applications (TCP/IP & networking skills)
• Strong general knowledge of common networking (switching & routing) and security protocols
• Scripting experience (Python) & experience of API (Restful API)
• Ability to work according to customer’s schedules which may include weekends/evenings/holidays
• MS office suite using applications such as Power Point, Word, Visio & Project.
• Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in EE, CS, or CE or equivalent experience.
