Job summary

Fortinet Singapore seeks a Professional Services Consultant to drive Fortinet projects for customers and ensure high satisfaction. You will translate customer needs into validated design, lead deployments, and advise on best practices while expanding Fortinet product knowledge.

You will collaborate across teams, work with regional stakeholders, and adapt to customer schedules including weekends/evenings when required to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in SOC operations, incident response lifecycle and cybersecurity frameworks.
• 5+ years in LAN/WAN/Internet support or administration.
• 3+ years in Network Security Products.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in EE/CS/CE.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Professional Services engagements in a professional, timely manner for Fortinet customers and deliver projects with customer satisfaction.
• Understand customer requirements (scope, technical needs, solution design).
• Conduct design workshops with customers remotely or onsite.
• Lead deployment, migration and optimization of Fortinet solutions in customer environments.
• Execute project tasks within timelines and quality standards.
• Act as trusted advisor during project delivery and provide technical consultation to customers.
• Develop knowledge to stay proficient with Fortinet technologies and best practices.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of network security infrastructure, SIEM, SOAR, logging, analytics, threat investigation, EDR/Network detection and response.

As a Professional Services Consultant, you will

• Carry out Professional Services engagements in a professional & timely manner for Fortinet customers & deliver projects with customer satisfaction in mind.
• Develop a clear overall understanding of the customer requirements (project scope, technical requirements and solution design)
• Conduct design workshops with customers and stakeholders both remotely as well as onsite.
• Lead the deployment, migration and optimization of Fortinet solutions in Customer environments.
• Execute project tasks in accordance with project timelines and quality standards.
• Act as a trusted advisor during project delivery and provide technical consultation to customers.
• Continuously develop knowledge and skills to remain proficient with Fortinet technologies to provide best practice advice during project delivery
• Maintain expert-level technical knowledge in the following technology disciplines as they relate to Fortinet’s products:
  • Network Security Infrastructure – Switching, Routing
  • Security Information and Event Management.
  • Security Orchestration, Automation and Response.
  • Centralized logging, analytics, reporting and threat investigation.
  • Endpoint/Network Detection and Response.
• Have experience in deploying or running a Security Operations Center would be a bonus.
• Interface with Fortinet’s Business and Technology partners within designated technology discipline and distribute that knowledge internally within Fortinet.
• Develop and update implementation best practices, templates and reusable technical assets.
• Effectively communicates relevant project information to Fortinet management as appropriate
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
• Complete and submits any required administrative tasks in a timely manner (timesheets, activities report, project reports, etc…)
• Follow up with customer and internal Fortinet departments to ensure project documentation is completed:
  • Creation of Statement of Work document
    • Acknowledgement of work performed including work complete signing
    • Knowledge Transfer
    • Customer satisfaction surveys

We Are Looking For

An insightful and influential collaborator to join our team. We encourage you to apply for this position if you have the following qualities:

• Strong understanding of SOC operations, Incident response lifecycle and Cybersecurity frameworks.
• 8 - 10 years + relevant network security experience. preferably with a network security vendor.
• 5+ Years’ experience in LAN/WAN /Internet Support or Administration
• 3+ Years’ experience with Network Security Products
• Customer centric mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Teamwork and cross functional collaboration with regional team members.
• Problem solving and critical thinking.
• Ability to work well under pressure and remain focused on the tasks in hand.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network & security environment
• Strong knowledge of the security threat landscape
• Previous Technical support position (other PS or TAC position), or Sales Engineering
• background advantageous
• Network security certifications (Fortinet NSE 4 minimum and above)
• External network security & vendor certifications such as Cisco, F5, Juniper, Checkpoint, AWS area are a plus
• Strong understanding of core Internet protocols and applications (TCP/IP & networking skills)
• Strong general knowledge of common networking (switching & routing) and security protocols
• Scripting experience (Python) & experience of API (Restful API)
• Ability to work according to customer’s schedules which may include weekends/evenings/holidays
• MS office suite using applications such as Power Point, Word, Visio & Project.
• Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in EE, CS, or CE or equivalent experience .
