Job description

We are seeking for a highly motivated candidate and good team player to join our group as an Assistant Research Officer/ Research Officer (ARO/RO). The successful applicants will be involved in projects related to immunity, senescence, and transcriptional regulation in Arabidopsis thaliana and brassica crops.

Responsibilities:

• To handle general molecular work such as gene cloning, recombinant protein purification, western blot analysis and qRT-PCR analysis by extracting total RNA
• To generate and take care of transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana plants and their functional characterization
• To create weekly work progress report.
• To manage assigned general laboratory duties

Requirements:

• BSc (Hons)/ MSc in a life science discipline
• Highly motivated individuals that are disciplined, keen learners, and independent workers
• A strong background in plant physiology, molecular biology, or genetics will be added advantage
