Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical assembly, installation, and initial testing of CVD/PVD vacuum coating equipment according to work instructions and quality standards.
  • Conduct functional checks, basic troubleshooting, and adjustments during in-house equipment commissioning.
  • Support engineers in testing and verifying equipment performance, and assist with recording test results and feedback.
  • Carry out equipment upgrades, modifications, and repairs under supervision when needed.
  • Ensure all assembly and testing activities comply with safety and quality requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assembly and testing areas.
  • Occasionally support short-term visits to customer sites for equipment installation or simple technical assistance. (Low travel frequency)

Requirements:

  • Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 1–3 years of working experience in equipment assembly, mechanical fitting, or machinery testing preferred (vacuum or semiconductor equipment experience is an advantage).
  • Good hands-on skills with mechanical tools and measurement instruments.
  • Basic understanding of vacuum systems and mechanical structures is an advantage.
  • Able to follow technical drawings, assembly instructions, and testing procedures.
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications for simple documentation.
  • Positive attitude, willing to learn, and able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Comfortable with occasional short-term travel if required.
