In this role, you will operate equipment, maintain product quality, and support production under fast-paced conditions. Qualifications

Job description

Role Purpose:

• To support the Production team in meeting customer requirements and at the same time adhering to James Walker standards while upholding our ethos.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate manufacturing equipment as per training & provided SOPs, ensuring quality and efficient use of time and materials.

• Support manufacturing colleagues with production support as required and remain flexible to support adhoc production changes.

• Maximize quality of manufactured products, adhering to all external/internal standards.

• Work in a way that maximises the safety of yourself, colleagues and highlight areas for improvement.

• To understand the full end to end manufacturing process and demonstrate flexibility in learning new machineries.

• In addition to your main duties, you may be required to undertake other duties as determined by the Management of the Company.

Technical / Job specific skills required:

Essential

• Highly motivated with the capability to work in a self-directed environment with teamwork
• Able to converse and write in simple English
• Works well under pressure

Preferred

• Basic understanding of common gasket materials; graphite, PTFE, mica, rubber, etc.
• Knowledge of engineering terminology

Qualifications:

Essential

• Minimum a good pass in Maths and English qualification or in ITE engineering discipline

Preferred

• ITE/ NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or Precision Engineering

Experience:

Essential

• Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a fast paced workshop producing industrial products in accordance to technical specifications.

Preferred

• Experience in Gasket Manufacturing as a Plus point
• Experience in Winding as a Plus point

Additional Notes:

• Able to relocate in Singapore with no lodging allowance.
