Job description

Monitor the operations in the production, and staging areas. Supervise the production and dispensing activities in order to respect the planned production schedule, ensure cGMP compliance of all GMP operations

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and co-ordinate the production personnel under his/her charge and ensure that the production schedule, output targets, yield efficiencies and satisfactory quality products are achieved.
  • Cooperate with the API Manufacturing Director in the implementation of “Production Planning Control” process performing activities and applying tools of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Supervise the activities in API warehouse and staging areas: goods receipt, dispensing, goods delivery
  • Plan the team’s activities to ensure that all processes are adequately manned in order to achieve the production requirements with minimal disruption to work flow or process consistency
  • Develop, revise and review SOPs as needed to cover routine production activities
  • Verify the correct implementation of all SOPs from the production personnel under his responsibility.
  • Communicate effectively company policies, objectives and results as appropriate.
  • Ensure accountability and commitment in achieving the goals of continuous improvement of EHS performance and maintaining legal compliance through active participation in AbbVie EHS programs.
  • Carry out on-the-job training of chemical operators, incorporating cGMP, SOPs and safety procedures
  • Ensure high standard of housekeeping and general facility maintenance in the plant at all times
  • Liaise with maintenance supervisor on all maintenance matters, ensuring that equipment is properly prepared and isolated, that proper permits have been issued and that proper supervision and capabilities are present.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activity is coordinated with production plans as far as possible
  • Work with all the support function to facilitate trouble shooting activities.
  • Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical degree
  • At least one year experience in similar role
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Reliability, responsibility, and personal integrity
