Good Job Creations (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Operations Supervisor for finishing in a manufacturing setting. You will lead daily finishing and post-finishing tasks, manage production schedules, coordinate safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives, and guide a large team to achieve on-time delivery.

You will liaise with Production, Dyeing, and R&D to solve finishing defects, monitor process parameters, maintain WI/RA documents, and foster a safe, efficient working

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing multiple teams with a combined workforce of 50+ employees.
• Knowledge of production planning, quality control, process improvement, and equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with workplace safety standards and chemical handling procedures.
• Proficient in Mandarin for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Supervise daily finishing and post-finishing operations, including seasoning, special finishing, felt polishing, and glazing processes to ensure smooth production flow.
• Manage daily production schedules and coordinate activities to achieve on-time delivery targets.
• Monitor seasoning chemical inventory through regular stock checks and coordinate replenishment with relevant departments.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and report equipment faults to maintain operational efficiency.
• Ensure finished products meet quality standards, customer specifications, and colour matching requirements.
• Work closely with Production, Dyeing, and R&D teams to conduct colour matching and resolve finishing-related defects.
• Monitor process parameters and implement adjustments to improve product consistency and reduce defects.
• Identify operational issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Allocate daily tasks, oversee workforce deployment, and monitor attendance and overtime records.
• Conduct on-the-job training and support employee development through relevant training programmes.
• Foster teamwork, engagement, and a productive working environment within the department.
• Collaborate with R&D to evaluate new finishing techniques, formulations, equipment, and process improvements.
• Train operators on newly developed processes and ensure proper implementation of technical procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve sustainability performance.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Maintain and update Work Instructions (WI) and Risk Assessments (RA) in accordance with safety requirements.
• Participate actively in safety meetings and operational discussions.
• Maintain high housekeeping and cleanliness standards across operational areas.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving exposure to dust and chemicals.
• Knowledge of production planning, quality control, process improvement, and equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with workplace safety standards, risk assessments, and chemical handling procedures.
• Proficiency in Mandarin language for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.
