Job description

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the manufacturing processes in the precision engineering field. They ensure that goods are produced efficiently, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of production processes and techniques.

Key Knowledge Areas:

• Experience with CNC milling or turning, Mastercam, and ISO 9001 standards.
• Understanding of CNC machine tooling and the ability to recommend appropriate tooling for specific jobs.
• Developing and implementing production schedules to meet demand and ensure timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes and ensure timely delivery.
2. Resource Management: Manage human resources, oversee equipment maintenance, and ensure optimal use of raw materials.
3. Quality Control: Maintain quality standards, monitor processes, conduct inspections, and perform audits.
4. Budget and Cost Control: Develop budgets, analyze costs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
5. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote safety protocols, and conduct training.
6. Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements, implement changes, and promote a culture of ongoing enhancement.
7. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records, analyze data, and prepare reports for management.
8. Communication and Coordination: Act as a liaison between departments, resolve issues, and communicate goals.

Qualifications:

• Education: ITE, Diploma, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a production role, preferably in CNC manufacturing.
• Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills; knowledge of lean manufacturing.

Working Conditions:
