Job description

Production Supervisor

Our client is a multinational chemical manufacturing company. They are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to manage and oversee plant operations.

The responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include:

1. Being competent in plant operations and supporting shift supervisors and technicians in production activities.
2. Monitoring and maintaining utility supply systems.
3. Arranging waste disposal with authorized waste handling companies.
4. Controlling raw material inventories.
5. Preparing equipment for maintenance and commissioning.
6. Collaborating with the Maintenance Department on transition and shutdown planning.
7. Reviewing and updating standard operating procedures and training manuals; conducting training for process technicians.
8. Leading safety activities related to PPE, 5S, KY, and other safety exercises.
9. Supporting orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation of production personnel according to company policies.
10. Training technicians to meet HSEQ standards and compliance systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and SS 651.
11. Participating in continuous process improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum of 10 years' experience in polymer or petrochemical plants.
2. Leadership experience in supervision or team lead roles.
3. Strong knowledge of safety protocols in chemical plants.
4. Experience operating chemical plant equipment (e.g., distillation columns, heat exchangers, pumps, instrumentation, extruders, reactors).
5. Experience with utility supply equipment (e.g., cooling towers, air compressors, chillers, RO units).
6. Experience in waste management systems.
7. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
8. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
9. High initiative and sound judgment.
