Job description

We are looking for a Process Technician to support our food production process & maintain the production equipment.


Incumbent is to follow instructions and schedule regular preventive maintenance work such as cleaning, servicing, minor repairs, setting parameters, changing of lubrication oil and tuning machine speeds on the food production equipment.


Working environments may entail high temperatures for processing of the food products. Suitable candidate should have a keen interest in high-speed production machinery and is able to interact with others on the technical team to efficiently resolve equipment issues, complies with all food safety and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in resolving downtime issues, parameter setting, regular monitoring and adjusting any abnormalities of the production machines.
  • Follow cleanliness standards, safety regulations and organisation requirements, clean equipment while the line stops or downs for repairs, and maintain equipment hygiene requirements for production use.
  • Conduct in-process system monitoring, troubleshooting and routine equipment inspection.
  • Operate computerised systems during production, perform routine checking/cleaning/sanitizing and normal preventive maintenance on production process equipment.
  • Recommend improvements in equipment maintenance processes. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain food production equipment. Work with production team on scheduling machine preventive maintenance.

Requirements

  • ITC/NTC-2/NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronic or equivalent and above
  • Minimum 2- 3 years relevant experience in food production process equipment or other equipment.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities, able to work at hot/warm environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work on rotating shifts and weekends.
