Production Planner

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our production efficiency and ensure timely delivery of our products.

Planning:

• Responsible for preparing picking slips for production (Allocating materials & machines, printing & passing of picking slips to production)
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather and analyze market data, customer orders, and trends to forecast demand accurately
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure the availability of resources, equipment, and materials to meet production goals
• Monitor and track the progress of customer orders, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any issues that may arise
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize resource utilization

Inventory:

• Liaise with Export team to ensure smooth delivery/collection of export orders
• Liaise with Import team to ensure smooth stock in of import orders
• Ensure the materials in the warehouse are well maintained and properly stocked
• Responsible for mid-year & year end stock take and occasional random inventory checks
• Preparing of transfer form for material movement between warehouses

Others:

• Assist in QA/QC activities
• Prepare and maintain production reports, performance metrics, and KPIs to assess and report on production performance regularly
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize resource utilization
• Any ad-hoc tasks, duties or projects as required by HOD or management

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and experience:

• Diploma / Degree Holder in Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Logistics
• At least 2 years of relevant production planning and control experience in fast paced environments
• Good command of English
• Bilingual and or Mandarin to liaise with Chinese Counterpart (speaking, listening, reading and writing) will be advantageous
• ISO related knowledge will be advantageous

Key skills:

• Experience with ERP system
• Strong IT skills, specifically Excel for reporting, Word & PowerPoint
• Strong organization and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
