Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Tuas, Singapore, is seeking an experienced Production Manager for a food manufacturing site. You will lead daily production operations, supervise the production team, and ensure plans, quality and delivery targets are met.

You will drive equipment installation and maintenance, plus continuous improvement while upholding food safety, ISO and workplace safety standards. A degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Min. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Min. 5 years of relevant experience in a food production environment.
• Strong production management and food manufacturing equipment knowledge.
• Good understanding of food safety, workplace health and environmental safety requirements.
• Knowledge of Quality Control, JDE and Lean Manufacturing advantageous
• ISO 22000 / Food Safety Committee leadership experience advantageous
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production operations to achieve production plans, quality and delivery targets
• Lead and supervise the Production team, including manpower planning and training needs
• Monitor productivity, downtime, wastage and overall operational efficiency
• Lead installation and qualification of new / modified production equipment and process lines
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
• Ensure compliance with food safety, ISO, workplace safety and regulatory requirements
• Lead plant improvement projects covering productivity, cost and energy savings
• Support production trials and new product launches
