Job summary

SANMINA-SCI SYSTEMS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Materials Planner to plan, schedule, and monitor movement of material through the production cycle in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will determine material requirements from engineering and production schedules, coordinating with purchasing, production, and engineering to ensure on-time materials. Strong Excel skills and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Nitec or Diploma in Business or relevant certificate.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Good communication skills.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience in Manufacturing planning, procurement and production planning.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle.
• Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules.
• Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan, and facilitate on-time materials to the production line.
• Liaises with Customer Service / Master Scheduler / Procurement for material pull-in/push-out/cancellation/recommit/close short in response to sale order and production schedule changes.
• Takes follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
• Implements all processes to agreed standards and targets.
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives and identifies areas of improvement.
• Develops and implements strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize material obsolescence.
