We are seeking a motivated Production Operations Supervisor to lead and oversee operations in our newly established biotechnology manufacturing plant. You will play a critical role in building a high-performing production team, establishing operational processes, and driving the success of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Drive seamless production processes, ensuring key metrics like on-time delivery, efficiency, failure rates, and lead times are consistently met.
Identify and resolve production delays through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to enhance workflows and prevent recurring issues.
Monitor production capacity, mitigate risks proactively, and escalate challenges to meet operational objectives.
Ensure accurate stock levels through regular oversight, lead quarterly and annual inventory counts, and address discrepancies effectively.
Supervise, train, and upskill production teams to exceed performance standards while fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
Work with Manufacturing Engineers, R&D, and NPI teams to resolve challenges, improve team efficiency, and drive innovation.
Develop and execute training plans to enhance workforce skills, promote cross-training, and improve operational flexibility.
Champion a culture of safety, cleanliness, and organization through the execution of the 6S methodology on the production floor.
Leverage data-driven insights to enhance production safety, quality, and efficiency, ensuring KPIs are consistently surpassed.
Maintain strict adherence to regulatory standards, safety requirements, and internal processes to ensure operational excellence.
Role Requirements
Min. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
Min. 6 years of experience in medical devices, biomedical, life sciences, or similar industries with 3 years of team supervision and training in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, with proven ability to enforce safety protocols.
Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing principles, waste reduction, and process optimization.
Strong communication and coaching abilities to motivate teams and provide constructive feedback.
