Job summary

NOVA-TECH MFG PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily operations for Cover Assembly and Machining in Singapore.

The role emphasizes delivering on output, quality, cost and delivery targets, while coordinating with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to drive smooth production execution. You will develop production plans aligned with customer demand, monitor OEE and throughput, and mentor supervisors, technicians and operators across multiple

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• 8–10 years manufacturing experience with 3–5 years in a production management or equivalent leadership role.
• Experience in precision engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, CNC machining, metal fabrication or high-tech manufacturing is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing machining and assembly operations in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, fixtures, engineering drawings and dimensional inspection requirements.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage supervisors, technicians and operators across multiple production processes.
• Good understanding of manufacturing quality systems, including ISO 9001, SPC, NCR, CAPA, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, PDCA and other continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily production operations for Cover Assembly and Machining to achieve production output, quality, cost and delivery targets.

• Monitor production progress, workflow, cycle time, throughput, machine utilization and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Oversee machining operations, including CNC machining and related precision manufacturing processes.
• Ensure machining processes meet dimensional accuracy, surface finish, process capability and product quality requirements.
• Oversee cover assembly activities to ensure compliance with assembly drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Lead, develop and manage Production Supervisors, Team Leaders, technicians and operators across machining and assembly operations.
• Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production execution.
• Monitor production costs, labour productivity, material consumption, tooling expenses, scrap and rework costs.
• Establish and monitor key production performance indicators, including output achievement, on-time delivery, productivity, yield, scrap, rework and downtime.
