The Production Engineering Technician will support the operations team in optimizing manufacturing processes, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring the efficient operation of production lines. This role involves hands-on work with machinery, data collection, process documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Assist Operations department in manufacturing processes and procedures.
Monitor production lines and equipment to identify potential issues, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and calibration of production machinery and tools.
Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems with equipment and processes, performing minor repairs or escalating to appropriate personnel.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and equipment logs.
Support the implementation of new equipment, processes, and product designs into production.
Ensure all production activities adhere to safety standards, quality control procedures, and company policies.
Provide technical support and training to production operators as needed.
Assist with material testing, product validation, and quality checks.
Required:
Diploma or Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology (e.g., Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology) or a related technical field.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a technician or similar role.
Experience with troubleshooting production equipment and processes.
Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and quality control concepts.
Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as measurement instruments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred:
Experience with specific manufacturing processes relevant to your industry (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding, assembly, automation).
Ability to operate a forklift or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
Electrical skillset will be greatly considered
