Production Engineer (Health, Safety, Environmental)

Job Description:

• Working Hours: Weekdays, 8am to 430pm
• Working Location: Jurong Island (Transport from Jurong East MRT)
• Basic Salary: $4000 - $5000

Ensure safety compliance, risk assessment, and process improvement in daily operations and construction projects, while adhering to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations in the chemical industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the HSE leader in daily operations and construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Lead risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and the review of operating procedures for modifications and site activities.
• Identify high-risk activities based on HAZOP studies, collaborate with production managers to develop and implement safety improvement plans.
• Work closely with production and logistics teams to enforce safe work procedures and compliance with HSE protocols.
• Review safety observations, prioritize improvements based on risk levels, and ensure follow-ups via the Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Collaborate with project engineers, production teams, and maintenance coordinators to ensure timely execution of safety-related projects.
• Regularly review and update emergency and disaster prevention procedures to align with current operations.
• Lead and drive HSE-related improvement projects and initiatives.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by superiors.

Our Requirements

• Relevant experience in the chemical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of safety legislation and regulations in the chemical sector.
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Health, Safety, or Environmental disciplines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with critical thinking abilities.
