Job description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Review sales order and plan resources, both material and labor, to meet production requirement.
  • Oversees manufacturing process to ensure production process is efficient and goods are produced to required quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Prepare, review and analyze production reports and advise management of areas of concerns and areas to improve.
  • Review material used and their costs so as to be able to suggest to management on product material improvement, cost minimization or reduction of wastages. Productivity program to reduce production cost is important to the company.
  • Manage production staff and labor costs, including assignment of duties, performance appraisals, approval of overtime and planning for alternative replacements in case of staff on vacation or on medical leave.
  • Plan and organize training for staff to upgrade skill level or to plan for contingencies.
  • Prepare risk assessments for all major equipment and processes, as well as conduct safety check on periodic basis, including environmental and 5S issues.
  • Schedule equipment maintenance for all major equipment and ensure maintenance schedule is properly carried out by production staff.
  • Organize and plan schedule for delivery of goods to customers.
Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing or production management role.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
  • Adaptable to a dynamic production environment.
  • Knowledge of Autocad 2D will be an advantage.
