A leading company in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Production Cell Leader to manage and enhance a team dedicated to machining high-precision components. This role focuses on meeting production targets, quality standards, and employee development while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
We are looking for a hands-on and driven Production Cell Leader to lead a team in the machining and assembly of high-precision components. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting production targets, ensuring quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor. Responsibilities:
Lead and motivate a production team in machining/assembly of precision parts, ensuring timely schedules to meet customer requirements.
Oversee employee development through talent acquisition, performance management, training, coaching, and recognition to drive results.
Maintain a safe, organized work environment by enforcing 6S standards.
Manage daily production, capacity planning, and machine optimization.
Support Lean/Kaizen initiatives and collaborate with other cells for process flow and problem resolution.
Ensure accurate ERP system updates (Syteline) and organize overtime within statutory limits.
Oversee consumable spending, delivery metrics, capacity planning, risk assessments, TPM, and OEE.
Conduct regular cell and toolbox meetings, fostering a motivated workforce.
Provide direction and guidance to associates, resolving production/quality issues with cross-functional teams.
Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and waste reduction.
Build strong teams, fostering clear communication and collaboration to achieve common goals.
Manage and resolve grievances, attendance, leave schedules, overtime, and performance reviews.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
At least 5-7 years of production/operations experience in manufacturing, with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Detail-oriented, multitasker, and able to manage tight deadlines.
Motivated team player, adaptable in dynamic environments.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledgeable in Lean manufacturing and machining/metal fabrication.
CNC machining and programming experience a plus.
Available for rotating shifts as needed.
