Job summary

En-Syst Equipment & Services Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Production Assistant to support sheet metal fabrication. You will weld, cut, bend metal sheets and perform fitting assembly, operate CNC machinery and carry out painting tasks on generator equipment.

On-site role requiring reading simple drawings, selecting welding methods (TIG/ARC/MIG), and maintaining safe equipment. Experience in welding and fitting trades and knowledge of safety standards are preferred.

Qualifications

• Min 1 year experience in welding and fitting trade
• Experience in using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, ARC, MIG, etc)
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face shield, gloves, etc)

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of Generator equipment and accessories
• Able to use welding equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies as required, meeting project schedule
• Work on site and workshop as required
• Able to read and understand basic drawings and fabrication instructions
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers, clamp pieces and etc
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Co-ordinate with supervisor for job instruction
• Preparing and setup of necessary tools and equipment for welding, fitting, painting, staging and delivery processes
