Job summary

KANDENKO COOLING SYSTEM PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a skilled welder to perform MIG, TIG and ARC/SMAW welding and related fabrication tasks. You will read drawings, prepare components, and ensure quality across projects.

Ideal candidates have welding certification, experience with structural/pipe welding, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with willingness to work overtime and on site locations as required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow PPE usage and safe welding practices.
• Collaborate with supervisors, fitters, engineers and team members.
• Perform additional welding and fabrication duties as required.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and metal fabrication works using MIG, TIG, ARC/SMAW and other approved welding processes.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and work instructions.

• Prepare, cut, fit, align and tack-weld metal components before final welding.

• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel and other metal materials according to specifications.

• Operate and maintain welding machines, grinders, cutting tools and related equipment.

• Inspect completed welds for defects and carry out necessary repairs or rectification.

• Ensure welding work meets required quality, dimensional and safety standards.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.

• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe welding practices.

• Work closely with supervisors, fitters, engineers and other team members to complete assigned projects.

• Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Relevant welding experience is preferred.

• Welding certification or technical qualification will be an advantage.

• Experience in MIG, TIG, ARC/SMAW or structural/pipe welding is an advantage.

• Ability to read basic engineering drawings and welding symbols.

• Good understanding of welding safety procedures and PPE requirements.
