Greenphyto (“GP”) is an agri-tech start-up company with a mission to position Singapore at the forefront of agriculture technology with automation. The company has developed a proprietary and fully automated industrial technology which will deliver unrivalled crop yields, independent of environment and geography challenges.

In line with and supported by the Singapore government in her 30-30 vision: 30% food self-sustainability by 2030, GP is constructing a full-scale flagship facility in Singapore. This facility will be a key pillar in achieving a nation's food security agenda with a revolutionary modern farming solution, leveraging on automation and cutting-edge technology in producing leafy vegetables in Singapore.

Position Overview

The Farm Assistant is integral to our daily operations, ensuring the smooth execution of all tasks from maintaining cleanliness across all equipment & machinery, to overseeing the entire crop production cycle (i.e. from seeding to harvesting within our automated indoor farm). This role is ideal for individuals who have a keen interest in sustainable agriculture and are looking to gain hands-on experience in agri-tech farming.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in a factory-like / controlled environment, with minimal direct contact with plants.
• General cleaning/sanitizing for workbenches/work areas, automated equipment & machinery.
• Manually seed and harvest sensitive crops.
• Preparation of nutrient solutions and supplies for plants.
• Daily routine (start-of-day & end-of-day) checks on equipment & machinery.
• General facility upkeep and waste disposal.
• Orders assembly and fulfilment.
• Responsible for material receiving, inspection, warehouse, and inventory management.
• Adhere to personnel safety, farm hygiene and cleanliness protocols.
  
  

Key Requirements

• GCE 'N'/'O' Levels or equivalent.
• Previous experience in agriculture or farm operations is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks handle heavy equipment at times.
• Basic understanding of plant biology and agricultural practices is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Having a strong interest in agricultural technology and eagerness to learn is highly desired.
• Willingness to work in indoor environment.
• Older workers / All races are welcome.
