Product Strategy & Development Associate
CIX is looking for an experienced Product Strategy & Development Associate to join our commercial team. This role is pivotal in driving the company’s success, shaping the future of the carbon market, and making a significant impact on the broader sustainability ecosystem.
This role is based in
Singapore, and reports to the Chief Commercial Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping CIX’s platform features and evolving product portfolio, including carbon credit solutions, CORSIA-eligible products, renewable energy certificates (RECs), and emerging climate-related market instruments.
You will work cross-functionally with commercial, origination, legal, operations, and technology teams to scan the market, define product strategy, and bring new offerings to market that meet client and market needs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor market trends, policy developments, and regulatory changes across voluntary and compliance carbon markets (e.g., CORSIA, Article 6, VCMI, ICVCM, etc.) and environmental products (e.g., RECs, SAFc).
- Analyse emerging buyer preferences, standards, and technological innovations influencing product development.
- Benchmark CIX’s product offering against competitors.
- Support the definition and evolution of CIX’s product roadmap and prioritization framework.
- Translate market insights into product opportunity assessments and business cases.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align product direction with customer needs and commercial goals.
- Work with internal stakeholders such as commercial, marketing, legal, finance and operations teams to support go-to-market planning and launch of new products.
- Prepare client-facing and internal materials (e.g., product briefs, sales enablement content, FAQs).
- Coordinate pilots or product rollouts with early adopters and strategic partners.
- Gather feedback from clients, partners, and internal teams to refine existing offerings.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in strategy, product management, sustainability consulting, or market development — ideally in carbon markets or environmental sectors.
- Sharp analytical skills and structured thinking — comfortable working with market data and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of voluntary and/or compliance carbon markets (e.g., VCM, CORSIA, Article 6) and other environmental products.
- Strong ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, both internally and externally, to drive commercial outcomes
- Strong business acumen with experience developing segment strategies and go-to-market plans.
- Agile product management and flexible to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs
- Highly organized, able to multitask, and adept at managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience preparing executive-ready materials.
- Team-oriented and comfortable working across multi-function teams in a fast-paced environment.
