Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a trainee Product Security Tester to join our Singapore engineering team. You will help build end-to-end security testing capabilities for firmware and software products, with hands-on vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, while embedding trainees early in engagements.

You will produce audit-ready reports and guide trainees to become independent contributors by month six, collaborating closely with engineers and security teams while benefiting from

Qualifications

• Basic degree in Engineering.
• Build vulnerability assessment and penetration testing activities on firmware and software products.
• Use security testing tools to perform scanning, validation, and testing of systems.
• Reproduce and validate security issues and document findings.
• Support engineers in understanding vulnerabilities.
• Manage testing labs and environments for security testing activities.
• Contribute to automation, scripts, and testing improvements to improve efficiency.
• Document and present findings, reports, and learning outcomes.

Job Description

You will report to an Engineering manager based in Singapore.

Your Responsibilities:

• Build end-to-end Product Security Testing capability with hands-on emphasis
• You will independently build vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
• Embed trainee in penetration testing engagements early in the programme
• Produce audit-ready and engineering-consumable reports
• Transition trainee into independent contributor by Month 6

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Basic degree in Engineering.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity, vulnerability assessment, or penetration testing concepts
• Familiarity with Linux and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Curious mindset with interest in security testing and exploring system weaknesses
• You will collaborate with engineering teams
• Hands-on working in lab environments
