Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Singapore is seeking a trainee to help build end-to-end product security testing capabilities, focusing on vulnerability assessment and penetration testing across firmware and software products.

You will gain hands-on experience in security testing, work with engineering teams, and contribute to automation and reporting, while developing practical skills in lab environments and learning how to reproduce issues for audit-ready findings.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity, vulnerability assessment, or penetration testing concepts.
• Familiarity with Linux and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Curious mindset with interest in security testing and exploring system weaknesses.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering teams.
• Hands-on working in lab environments.

Job Description

You will report to engineering manager based in Singapore.

Job Description And Requirements

• Build end-to-end Product Security Testing capability with hands-on emphasis
• You will Ensure trainee to independently implement vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
• Embed trainee in penetration testing engagements early in the programme
• Produce audit-ready and engineering-consumable reports

Learn Outcomes

You will Build vulnerability assessment and penetration testing activities on firmware and software products

• Use security testing tools to perform scanning, validation, and testing of real systems
• Reproduce and validate security issues and document findings
• Support engineers in understanding vulnerabilities
• You will Manage testing labs and environments for security testing activities
• Contribute to automation, scripts, and testing improvements to improve efficiency
• Document and present findings, reports, and learning outcomes

Technical Skills
