Product Manager, Comment Safety

Responsibilities

Trust & Safety team at TikTok is dedicated to building a safe environment for users to discover and create on TikTok, Lemon8, and other ByteDance products. As a product manager, you will work with engineers, data scientists, and various internal teams to build safety product features and strategies, focusing on comment safety.

Product Strategy and Management

• Responsible for product strategy of TikTok comment safety and ecosystem, collaborating with global cross-functional teams.
• Take ownership of the comment safety ecosystem through optimizing the metrics system and promoting solutions.

User Insights and Research

• Gain insights into user roles in comment scenarios and conduct industry competitor analysis.
• Create an industry-leading comment ecosystem by exploring gaps between current and ideal states.

Risk Management

• Manage potential comment escalations and improve detection mechanisms for negative trends.
• Establish a robust risk management process including automatic upgrade strategies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above
• 3+ years of product management experience in Consumer-Facing mobile or web companies
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Experience designing product solutions based on evidence

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Trust and Safety and understanding of policy development
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Resilience and commitment to self-care
