Role Purpose

The Product Manager (PM) role serves as a vital link between the technical and business domains, guiding a medium to large product or specific component from conception to launch. The PM manages the entire product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision while executing hands-on operational tasks. This role emphasizes breaking down complex problems into actionable steps that drive product development, facilitates resource management, and fosters innovation. The PM engages in stakeholder management to ensure successful product delivery and achieves business value outcomes through operational excellence and a commitment to innovation.

Location: The role location is Singapore or Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

How you will contribute to the success of DHL

The key tasks of an IT Product Manager can vary depending on the specific product managed. The following tasks are typically expected for IT Product Managers:

  • Product Roadmap Planning: Create and manage the product roadmap, outlining planned features and how they work, prototyping designs, enhancements, and releases over time. Prioritize features based on business value and technical feasibility in collaboration with the business product manager and stakeholders.
  • Service Acceptance: Ensure products meet service acceptance criteria and required standards; provide input into change control processes.
  • Technology Vision: Possess knowledge of DHL Express architecture landscape and leverage relationships with channel partners and enterprise architecture groups to promote innovation and steer the technology stack for the product.
  • Release & Risk Management: Oversee the product development lifecycle, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Product Launch and Go-to-Market: Lead small to mid-sized products or projects, manage risks, plans, and stakeholders; track progress to ensure scope, quality, and resources stay on course.
  • Quality Assurance Tracking and Analysis: Monitor key product metrics (e.g., user engagement, deployment footprint, user satisfaction) and use data-driven insights to drive improvements.

Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree majoring in software engineering or equivalent experience in a software development environment.
  • 2-3 years of experience building technical products, ideally in a development or DevSecOps environment.
  • Experience creating product roadmaps from conception to launch and leading design discussions.
  • Exposure to IT portfolio management and IT service delivery is beneficial.
  • Understanding of recognized knowledge bodies and domain knowledge relevant to the organization.
  • Ability to apply knowledge effectively in unfamiliar situations and rapidly absorb new information; actively shares knowledge with others.

This position is open to be based in Singapore or Malaysia, Cyberjaya.
