Job summary

Sokin is seeking an ambitious APAC Expansion Product Manager to define the strategic roadmap for banking connectivity across APAC. You will decide which markets to enter, required capabilities, and how our infrastructure evolves to serve client needs.

Collaborating with Banking Partnerships, engineering, product marketing and sales, you’ll build business cases, prioritize integrations, and optimize performance.

As our APAC' Expansion Product Manager

You’ll define the strategic roadmap for Sokin's banking connectivity across APAC, determining which markets we expand into, what capabilities we need, and how our infrastructure evolves to serve our clients' needs.

You'll be responsible for building the business case for market expansion, analyzing client demand, payment volumes, competitive positioning, and regulatory requirements to prioritize where Sokin should establish presence next. This means understanding the specific payment needs of different APAC markets, from ACH requirements to local clearing preferences, and translating those into clear technical and commercial requirements.

Working closely with our Banking Partnerships team, you'll define what we need from banking relationships in each market, then collaborate on sourcing and evaluating potential partners. Once partnerships are established, you'll work with engineering to scope and prioritize integration work, ensuring our technical implementation delivers the speed, reliability, and functionality our product roadmap requires.

You'll own the ongoing performance and optimization of our APAC' banking infrastructure, monitoring transaction success rates, settlement times, and costs across different corridors, then identifying opportunities for improvement. This includes working with operations and engineering to resolve technical issues, evaluating when to add redundancy or alternative routes, and making data-driven decisions about infrastructure investments.

A critical part of this role involves staying ahead of the APACs' payments landscape, tracking developments in instant payment schemes, open banking regulations, and emerging settlement mechanisms, then determining how these trends should influence our strategy. You'll also gather feedback from clients and sales teams to understand where our current infrastructure is limiting growth or creating friction.

• Prioritize product features and requirements based on customer value and business impact.
• Work closely with product marketing and sales to launch new products to customers.
• Monitor product performance and use quantitative and qualitative insight to drive continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related inquiries.

• You're excited by building B2B fintech products and have hands-on experience with banks, PSPs, and local payment rails across APAC.
• You own your roadmap and can identify problems, make decisions, and drive things forward without waiting to be managed.
• You're someone that enjoys getting into the details and understanding the mechanics of your product and the data behind it.
• You're a strong communicator and enjoy working in cross-functional teams alongside engineers, designers, and other functions to deliver value to users.
• You're comfortable working with financial, risk, and legal stakeholders to design solutions that are user-centric yet compliant.
• You have enough technical depth to work closely with engineers and find the best solution to a problem.
• You thrive in ambiguous environments and bring structure to them rather than waiting for it.
