Job description

Product Engineering - 3D Modeling & Simulations

As a Product Engineering - 3D Modeling & Simulations Staff member, your primary responsibility will be to support the team in developing high-quality castings with maximum yield in the shortest lead time possible. You will collaborate with the Product and Process engineering function to identify cost-intensive items in the PD process and implement cost reduction measures to enhance efficiency.It will be your duty to maintain the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) within acceptable limits while ensuring the highest quality output that meets customer expectations in a cost-effective manner. You will work closely with the Project Management team to obtain customer approval for new development castings and revalidate NPD Failure parts up to Fdy NPD Gate 7.Using MAGMASOFT software, you will revalidate Production Failure parts and identify high sand metal ratio items to bring them below the target levels. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating Department Layouts in the foundry and finalizing new pattern mounting and parting line designs.Your role will involve 3D modeling of Running and Feeding systems, preparing details of patterns, core box molds, cores, chills, and gating for review with the cross-functional team for new product development. You will also finalize the running systems for new products through MAGMA simulation software and modify them as needed.Maintaining records and documents related to ISO, OHSAS, and TQM standards, as well as ensuring adherence to Business Excellence processes, will be crucial aspects of your job. You will support the innovation and automation center team in exploring and implementing novel technologies in product development and utilize the latest tools and technologies in New product development for Foundry.Furthermore, you will design Moulding Boxes and accessories, create drawings for the maintenance department, and prepare PFMEA for the NPD process. Regular internal discussions regarding new products will also be part of your responsibilities.,
