Job description
Job Description
Own CPU product engineering activities from new silicon bring‑up to mass production (MP), ensuring schedule, quality, and manufacturability targets.
Drive silicon validation and characterization for CPU‑related features: functional checks, voltage/frequency characterization, PVT coverage, corner/limit testing.
Analyze and resolve CPU‑related issues across the lifecycle: lab debug, failure reproduction, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Partner with Design/DFT/PD/QA/Manufacturing teams on:
Test plan definition (CP/FT coverage, screening, guard‑banding)
Yield, reliability, and quality improvement (parametric outliers, systematic defects, escapes)
Develop and maintain production test flows and data‑driven dashboards: test limits, baselines, monitoring, and excursion handling.
Support customer and internal program needs: issue tracking, technical reports, change control, and risk management.
Main Requirements and Qualifications
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
7+ years experience in product engineering, silicon validation, or manufacturing/test engineering.
Solid understanding of CPU/SoC fundamentals: clocks/resets, power domains, memory subsystem basics, boot flow.
Hands‑on debug capability using lab equipment and tools (as applicable): JTAG, logic analyzer/oscilloscope, DMM, power measurement, board bring‑up.
Strong data analysis skills for production/test data (Excel + Python/SQL preferred) and ability to drive decisions from statistics (Cp/Cpk, distributions, outliers).
Good communication skills to coordinate cross‑functionally and document issues clearly.
[Preferred Qualifications]
Familiarity with ATE concepts and test development (CP/FT), test limit setting, guard‑banding, and correlation (bench ATE).
Experience with DFT features (scan/MBIST/LBIST/JTAG), fuse/trim flows, and binning/speed bin strategy.
Knowledge of reliability and qualification flows (HTOL, ESD/latch‑up, burn‑in), and failure analysis (FA) basics.
Experience with scripting/automation for lab testing and data pipelines (Python, Shell) and dashboards (e.g., Power BI/Tableau/Grafana).
Prior experience supporting high‑volume manufacturing and handling yield excursions.
