Job summary

Morgan Stanley PWM Asia is seeking a proactive professional in Singapore to support product sourcing and due diligence for private investment funds. The role focuses on onboarding, meeting preparation, and in-depth analysis of fund managers and strategies within an Asia-Pacific context.

The candidate will prepare investment memos, monitor fund commitments, and support regulatory-compliant onboarding while collaborating with GIMA and GIO on opportunities shaped by global market trends.

Qualifications

2-5 years’ experience in private equity, investment banking, asset management, transaction advisory services, or a similar field.
Prior experience in product selection and investment due diligence is highly preferred.
Solid understanding of the wealth management industry, and acute to ongoing product and regulatory developments concerning funds.
Strong understanding of financial markets, investment managers and economic dynamics within the Asia-Pacific region.
A conscientiousness about product risk principles.

Responsibilities

Drive product sourcing and onboarding for IMS as part of the Product Due Diligence (PDD) effort.
Participate in fund manager meetings, prepare meeting notes, analyses and commentaries on fund managers, market trends and opportunities impacting the manager landscape and opportunity set.
Perform initial and ongoing due diligence on investment strategies, with an emphasis on alternative investments (venture capital, private credit, private real assets, co-investment opportunities and other asset classes as required).
Conduct thorough market, country and industry analysis to identify potential investment opportunities, track deal flow and develop informed perspectives on industry trends.
Prepare detailed investment memoranda, reports and presentations, articulating key findings.
Assist in managing and monitoring existing fund commitments and partner relationships, including preparing periodic performance reports and valuations.
Adhere to Morgan Stanley PWM Asia policies and procedures, working in partnership with key Morgan Stanley stakeholders on the product onboarding lifecycle, including product approval and execution processes.
Collaborate with Morgan Stanley’s Global Investment Manager Analysis (GIMA) and Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Global Investment Office (GIO) to prepare comprehensive analysis on potential investment opportunities within the context of global market developments.
Document PDD activity in line with policies and procedures and enhance processes in line with market and regulatory developments in a fast-changing investment and regulatory environment.
