Job summary

SMARTT PRECISION MFG PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a front-of-house product leader to translate customer needs into manufacturable packages and drive new product introduction for parts the company can already make but has not yet shipped.

You will own the quotation/technical-commercial proposal and collaborate with Sales to close orders, while leading Product Engineers and coordinating with process, quality, and manufacturing teams across regions.

Qualifications

• Background in product engineering, NPI, applications / pre-sales engineering, or equipment engineering on semiconductor equipment.
• Strong grasp of product families, portfolio structure, and how OEM parts sit on the tool.
• Proven customer-facing work in English; Mandarin required to work with regional counterparts.

Responsibilities

• Own costed quotation / proposal packages with process and manufacturing input; present quotes with Sales.
• Lead Singapore Product Engineers; pull in process, quality, and manufacturing as partners.
• Translate requirements into an internal package (specs, CTQs, materials/surface/cleanliness, first-article / FA path).
• Coordinate with regional counterparts to reuse mature capability across sites.
• Drive new product introduction (NPI) for parts the company can already make but not yet shipped.

About the Role

You work with OEM customers on precision parts for semiconductor equipment (machining, surface treatment, assembly) and turn their needs into product solutions our plants can build and sell.

This is a front-of-house product role: understand the customer's product map, propose combinations and alternatives from our portfolio, shape a manufacturable package, and drive new product introduction (NPI) for parts the company can already make but this site has not yet shipped. You lead Product Engineers in Singapore and pull in process, quality, and manufacturing as partners.

Quotation sits with this role. You and Sales (Account) meet the customer together: you own the quote / technical-commercial proposal; Sales closes orders and carries revenue.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer product interface (with Sales): Join Account in front of the OEM; meet design / PE / NPI; clarify requirements; recommend better cost/performance options from our portfolio.
• Solution & package: Translate requirements into an internal package (specs, CTQs, materials/surface/cleanliness, first-article / FA path, change intent). Direct BOM structure and guide Product Engineers on the package.
• Quotation: Own costed quotation / proposal packages with process and manufacturing input; present quotes alongside Sales.
• Factory NPI: For variants or combinations the company can make but the Singapore (or regional) plant has not sold yet, pull process and manufacturing into a stable introduction path; hand day-to-day process work to plant / regional technical teams.
• Team: Lead and grow Singapore Product Engineers; set standards for how customer asks become packages and quotes.
• Cross-site pull: Coordinate with regional process / technical counterparts so mature capability is reused across sites.

What Success Looks Like

OEM customers get clear, manufacturable options and quotes in a timely way. New parts that fit our capability enter the plant with a package process and manufacturing can run.

Requirements

• Background in product engineering, NPI, applications / pre-sales engineering, or equipment engineering on semiconductor equipment (AMAT / Lam class tools or precision parts for those tools).
• Strong grasp of product families, portfolio structure, and how OEM parts sit on the tool - enough to advise customers and challenge over-spec.
• Proven customer-facing work in English; Mandarin required to work with regional process / technical counterparts.
• Experience leading or mentoring Product / NPI engineers preferred (Manager / Senior Manager / Director track).
• Able to own quotations and present with Sales in customer meetings.

Nice to Have

• Time at a precision machining / module supplier serving Semiconductor OEM.
• Fab equipment experience (CVD / Etch / PVD modules) with parts or vendor specs.
