Job summary

Our client in electronics manufacturing seeks a product design and development engineer to drive concepts through to launch at their Singapore facility, located near Joo Koon. You will push design improvements, reduce costs, and partner with engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing to deliver projects.

The role requires a mechanical/manufacturing degree and at least 3 years in product design, with proficiency in 3D CAD (Siemens NX) and related PLM tools.

Qualifications

• Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Min. 3 years of experience in Product Design and Development, preferably within Electronics Manufacturing.
• Proficient in advanced parametric 3D CAD systems; experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter or Polarion will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive new product development from concept and design through product launch, ensuring designs meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop and optimise electronic products through design improvements, cost reduction and manufacturing process enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing to deliver product development projects.
• Prepare product specifications and design documentation while providing technical support to customers and manufacturing partners when required.
