Responsibilities

• Responsible for product development from prototyping to finished product.
• Manage the product creation process from initial concept through to
  commercialisation and production for assigned models, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to product specifications, sustainability, and profitability goals.
• Plan product realization timelines, ensuring adequate resources for all activities.
• Track and facilitate sampling and prototyping; identify and address key issues in production/assembly, planning accordingly to deliver high-quality products.
• Monitor and communicate progress and challenges during testing to meet product integrity requirements.
• Collaborate with Design, Sales & Marketing, Licensing, Logistics, and manufacturing partners to execute development goals.
• Conduct industry benchmarking for product improvements.
• Improve internal processes and systems for production efficiency.
• Provide technical problem-solving support.
• Partner with the Design Team to meet design intent and margin targets.
• Approve samples for production after evaluation.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor activity completion and escalate issues as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or materials-related industries, especially plastics.
• Project management or related experience.
• Strong understanding of toy/consumer product production, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Fluent in Mandarin for communication with the China team.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of production calendars and key gate processes.
• Team player with organizational and follow-up skills; capable of working independently.
• Clear and concise written communication skills.
• Influencing skills to champion projects cross-functionally and vertically.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes during product creation.
