Responsibilities

• Responsible for product development from prototyping to finished product.
• Manage the product creation process from initial concept through to
  commercialization and production for assigned models, ensuring on-time delivery and development according to critical dates, product specifications, sustainability, and profitability goals.
• Plan product realization timelines, ensuring adequate resources for all planned activities.
• Track and facilitate sampling and prototyping; identify and address key issues in production/assembly and plan accordingly to deliver high-quality products.
• Monitor and communicate progress and challenges during testing to meet product integrity requirements.
• Collaborate with Design, Sales & Marketing, Licensing, Logistics, and manufacturing partners to execute product development goals.
• Conduct industry benchmarking studies to identify improvements for our products.
• Improve internal processes and systems for the entire production line.
• Provide technical problem-solving support.
• Partner with the Design Team to offer options and solutions that meet design intent and margin targets.
• Approve samples for production after thorough evaluation.
• Build strong relationships and trust with stakeholders.
• Monitor task completion and escalate issues as necessary.

Requirements

• Experience in a related industry (Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, specifically plastics).
• Project management or related experience.
• Strong understanding of toy/consumer product (plastics) production, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Fluent in Mandarin to coordinate with the China team for production issues.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of production calendars and key gate expectations.
• Team player with excellent organizational and follow-up skills, capable of working independently.
• Clear and concise written communication skills.
• Influencing skills to champion complex projects cross-functionally and vertically.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes during product creation.
