Job summary

Toku Ltd. is seeking its first dedicated Product Designer to shape customer experiences across our cloud communications platform.

You will own end-to-end design, establish our design system, and collaborate with the Head of Product and Engineering to align UX with technical realities. This hands-on, high-ownership role requires translating complex multi-market requirements into intuitive interfaces, building reusable components, and embedding usability research.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise software or B2B SaaS design experience.
• Strong end-to-end product design across UX and UI with a thoughtful portfolio.
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining design systems.
• Experience planning usability testing and user interviews.
• Experience designing AI-powered product experiences for production environments.
• Exposure to enterprise workflows with multiple user types and complex tasks.
• Experience in international/localisation and multi-language support.
• Familiarity with modern design-to-development workflows (Figma, React, tokens).
• Excellent communication and collaboration across distributed teams.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating research-driven design decisions.

As our first dedicated Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping how customers experience Toku’s platform. Working closely with the Head of Product and Engineering, you’ll own the end-to-end design of our customer experience products, establish our design system, embed user research into product development, and influence future product direction. This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership individual contributor role with significant opportunity to define how product design evolves at Toku. What you will be doing

• Product Design: Own the end-to-end UX and UI design of Toku’s core product experiences, including contact centre, agent, supervisor and AI-powered workflows, delivering intuitive, scalable solutions for enterprise customers.
• User Experience: Translate complex business, regulatory and multi-market requirements into interfaces that are simple, intuitive and trustworthy for customers operating in production environments.
• AI Product Design: Design AI-powered experiences that support real-world customer operations, ensuring reliability, transparency and user trust are prioritised over demonstration-driven functionality.
• Design System: Establish and continuously evolve Toku’s design system by creating reusable Figma components, shared design tokens (colour, typography and spacing), and design standards that remain closely aligned with the React frontend and engineering implementation.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineering throughout discovery, solution design and delivery, contributing design expertise while helping shape product direction.
• User Research: Build a lightweight but effective user research practice by establishing usability baselines, planning and conducting usability testing, interviewing users, validating design concepts before release, and using customer evidence to drive continuous improvement.
• Continuous Improvement: Champion design quality across the organisation, helping establish best practices and ensuring design decisions are supported by real customer insights rather than assumptions.
• Ownership: Help establish Product Design as a core capability within Toku, taking ownership of how design operates, collaborates and delivers value as the function grows.

We’d love to hear from you if you have

• Product Design Experience: 5+ years of experience designing enterprise software or B2B SaaS products, ideally within communications platforms, CCaaS, CPaaS or AI-enabled products.
• UX & UI Expertise: Strong end-to-end product design capability across both user experience and visual interface design, with a portfolio demonstrating thoughtful problem solving and polished execution.
• Design Systems: Hands‑on experience building, implementing or significantly maintaining design systems that are actively adopted by engineering teams.
• User Research: Practical experience planning and running usability testing, user interviews and design validation without relying on a dedicated research team.
• AI Products: Experience designing AI-powered product experiences, with a practical understanding of what makes AI trustworthy, reliable and usable in production environments.
• Enterprise Products: Experience designing products that support complex workflows, multiple user types and operational environments where clarity and usability are essential.
• International Products: Experience designing products that support localisation, customisation and multiple languages, markets or customer brands. Experience within regulated industries would be advantageous.
• Modern Design Workflows: Experience collaborating closely with software engineers using modern design-to-development workflows, including Figma, React-based product teams, design tokens and AI-assisted prototyping tools.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across distributed, cross‑functional teams.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio that demonstrates your design thinking, execution and decision‑making process, including the user research and evidence that informed your work.

Location: This role can be based in Singapore – hybrid work model, The Netherlands – hybrid work model, or in wider Europe – remote.
