Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Involved in the entire product development lifecycle, bridging the gap between creative ideas and tangible products, from initial concept to final production.

• Responsible for the strategic sourcing of OEM and new products from international partners, including supplier evaluation and selection. Collaborate with manufacturers to ensure products meet and maintain company quality standards.

• Work with Product Designers to define, develop, and validate the mechanical design intent of products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, QA/QC, and marketing.

• Conduct in-depth engineering research to address critical design challenges, optimizing product structures, material selection, and specifications to meet performance requirements. Utilize tolerance analysis, risk assessment, and engineering validation while maintaining cost efficiency through technological improvements.

• Prepare and submit comprehensive documentation detailing product specifications, evaluation reports, and cost analysis to ensure a smooth transition into mass production. Collaborate with relevant teams to verify feasibility, maintain quality standards, and optimize production efficiency.

• Familiar with molding process, injection, compression and LSR mold and familiar with design for manufacturing (DFM)

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Product Design and Product engineering or related field.

• 2 years relevant experience in product engineering in FMCG or related environment.

• Proficient with Rhinoceros, SolidWorks, or other 3D tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong negotiating and planning skills, strong analytical problem solving and time management skills.

• Be meticulous, a team player and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin to communicate with suppliers in China.

• Knowledge in IEC Standard, ROHS, EMC will be an added advantage
