ROLE OVERVIEW We are helping our FSI (Financial Services Industry) client to hire a Product Controller for their Metals Desk (Physical)

ROLE SUMMARY

We are helping our FSI (Financial Services Industry) client to hire a Product Controller for their Metals Desk (Physical)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, review, and analyze daily P&L statements along with relevant commentary
• Support the review of the Group’s consolidated daily P&L
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Front Office, Risk, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and Operations teams, while developing a commercial understanding of business operations
• Perform monthly balance sheet substantiation, ensuring all accounts have proper documentation for review by the Financial Director or Controller
• Drive improvements and automation of Product Control processes, working alongside technology teams to implement efficient solutions
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for all Product Control activities

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 – 7 years of experience in a Product Control role covering Hard or Soft Physical Commodities
• Open to look at candidates from the Trading Houses, Producers or the Banks
• Strong knowledge of product control functions, systems, and governance
• Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and Front Office personnel
