About the Role

This is a dynamic, cross-functional leadership position requiring expertise across multiple business domains including product management, client and collaborator relations, sales enablement, strategic planning, and technical project management.

The ideal candidate will serve as a key strategic partner to executive leadership, driving business growth through a combination of analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, technical engineering knowledge, and execution excellence.


The Product & BD Manager will be responsible for the product timeline, product delivery and product launching. This role requires strong expertise in project management, data analysis, and commercial viability studies to ensure the product pipeline can be launched without delay and to pick up market interests and sales.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management

  • Lead product development from ideation through launch, including market research and user requirement gathering
  • Product design, implementation, and performance optimization. Development and seamless integration of product offerings.
  • Work closely with the project engineers (internal/external) and external vendor for all product offerings.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing) to ensure alignment on product vision and execution
  • Work with external partners, including manufacturers and distributors, to optimize supply chain and distribution channels
  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product and/or feature launches

Sales Enablement

  • Create persuasive pitch decks and sales materials that effectively communicate product value propositions
  • Collaborate with sales teams to refine messaging and address market-specific needs
  • Support business development initiatives to expand market reach

Strategic Planning

  • Conduct market studies and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
  • Perform feasibility studies and financial modelling for new business initiatives
  • Contribute to long-term company strategy and vision development
  • Drive key business initiatives from conception to implementation

Technical Project Management

  • Coordinate hardware and software development lifecycles, ensuring proper testing, prototyping and iterative improvement
  • Manage machinery implementation projects with defined milestones, deliverables, and quality assurance processes
  • Develop and implement technical documentation and training programs for engineering team capabilities
  • Facilitate resolution of technical challenges through structured problem-solving methodologies and effective vendor relationship management

Supporting Role

  • Develop compelling presentation decks that clearly articulate the company's vision, strategy, and growth potential
  • Support the preparation of financial models and growth projections to support fundraising efforts
  • Maintain relationships with current and potential investors
Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, Software, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of photovoltaic systems or renewable energy technologies is a plus.
  • Software skill is a plus.
  • Excellent research and problem-solving abilities, whilst maintaining curiosity about new things and enthusiasm to learn and share latest methods/techniques within the team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with technical engineering background
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
  • Good collaboration skills, with a strong sense of responsibility, integrity and reliability
  • Project management expertise with a track record of delivering results across multiple workstreams.
  • Adaptability and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic thinking and ability to align business initiatives with the company vision

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in product management, business development, project management, or strategic roles
  • Experience working directly with executive leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Background in developing investor materials and financial projections
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and go-to-market executions
  • Experience with hardware/software integration projects preferred
  • Relevant industry experience developing and deploying solutions in production/engineering environments, with a proven track record.
  • Financial modelling and business case development experience
