A leading transport and logistics firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT Procurement Manager. The successful candidate will manage the IT procurement category, develop sourcing strategies, and lead supplier management to align with overall business goals. Ideal applicants have at least 5 years of IT procurement experience and strong knowledge of sourcing practices. This role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for professional growth.
· Category Ownership: Manage the IT procurement category, including hardware, software, cloud services, telecom, and IT services, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology roadmaps.
· Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies that drive value, reduce costs, and mitigate risks across global markets.
· Spend Analysis & Optimization: Analyze IT-related spend across business units to identify consolidation opportunities and optimize vendor portfolios.
· Supplier Management: Lead the evaluation, selection, and performance management of IT suppliers. Build and maintain strategic relationships with key global vendors.
· Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with stakeholders including IT, Legal, Finance, and business units to align procurement strategy with enterprise objectives.
· Contract & Risk Management: Lead contract negotiations and manage contractual obligations. Ensure compliance with commercial terms, legal requirements, and cybersecurity standards.
· Market Intelligence: Monitor global IT market trends, innovations, and supplier capabilities to proactively adapt category strategies.
· Degree in relevant field
· Minimum 5 years of IT procurement experience, with at least 2 years in a team lead or senior role; global or regional experience is preferred.
· Strong knowledge of IT sourcing, category management, and procurement best practices, including software licensing, cloud services, and IT professional services.
· Proven experience in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and driving cost-saving initiatives.
· Solid understanding of commercial and legal terms related to IT contracts.
· Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
