Salary Range

SGD3000 to SGD7000 commensurate with experience.

Job Scope
  • You are responsible for driving all procurement (purchasing & sourcing) activities from demand to delivery.
  • The role involves material purchasing, sourcing, planning, and inventory management.
  • Establish strong connections with internal & external stakeholders to support company procurement needs.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage short cycle demands, customer emergencies, and forced outages, expedite past-due, urgent demands.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers and deliveries.
  • Ensure all purchases meet the company's quality, technical specifications & delivery timelines.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers meeting the company’s technical & machining requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and application teams to understand technical requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels & manage replenishment in coordination with the sales team & demand forecasts.
  • Evaluate and improve purchasing processes and procedures.
Work Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in a tool shop manufacturing micro-mechanics parts.
  • Strong experience in understanding technical drawings & mapping manufacturing processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Buyer or similar role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, with strong ethical standards and integrity.
