Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Supports Contracts: Administers Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), financial and performance clauses, metrics, terms, and rebates/penalties to ensure the best bid among various vendors.
  • Engages in price negotiation with vendors.
  • Gathers and organizes information for inventory and value analysis to determine risk.
  • Conducts IS Procurement activities and economic research: Performs purchasing in Oracle or Coupa for Appropriations / Projects, or Shop Requisitions for purchases via Corporate Procurement Finance; monitors and escalates to ensure timely deliveries and payments.
  • Conducts data collection and analysis (e.g., internal spend, value analysis, cost) and supplier qualification efforts to meet cost-saving objectives.
  • Uses standard bidding processes to test the marketplace for the best deals.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers.
  • Coordinates meetings and resolves disputes between UPS and suppliers.
  • Provides guidance to users managing IS-related spend purchases via systems.
  • Establishes and maintains catalogs in Coupa related to APAC Resellers, coordinating with GBS AP and suppliers.
Assists in Procurement Policy Enforcement:
  • Supports compliance with procurement policies and audit requirements.
Uses Procurement Technology for Reports and Process Improvement:
  • Gathers and organizes data for analysis.
  • Develops new report processes and standards.
  • Seeks opportunities for process streamlining and improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Degree or Diploma in IT, Engineering, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and perform cost/benefit analysis.
  • Familiarity with Logistics, Supply Chain Management Systems, or distribution processes; brokerage system experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
