Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Works within the Quality Group and the Package Team and liaises with all project team members, such as Engineering, SCM Document Control, and Vendor Inspection Coordinator.

  • Participates in reviewing Material Data sheets.

  • Participates in the review, development, and issuance of Material Requisition/RFQ.

  • Ensures quality requirements are built into the RFQs and POs documents.

  • Ensures bidders understand all the package-specific Quality Requirements.

  • Reviews the Technical Bid documents submitted by the vendor.

  • Engages in the review and response to the Technical Clarification on Quality-related issues.

  • Performs Technical Bid Evaluation of the Bid documents.

  • Issues Quality Bid Technical Evaluation reports for each Bid Package.

  • Participates in PO award recommendations.

  • Reviews Vendor QP and ITP.

  • Participates in defining Inspection Levels and the mark-up of ITP based on the approved equipment Criticality Rating. Identifies the supplier/source inspection Witness and Hold requirements.

  • Interfaces with the Vendor Inspection Coordinator wherever source inspection is required.

  • Reviews and monitors Vendor M and R points.

  • Reviews Vendor Progress reports.

  • Reviews Source Inspection reports and seeks clarification on possible vendor non-compliance with quality requirements.

  • Ensures all quality concerns are addressed and closed.

  • Ensures Vendor complies with all required Quality Requirements.

  • Raises NCRs where applicable.

  • Monitors NCRs are responded to and actioned upon as per the given deadline.

  • Coordinates with the Package Management Team on FAT and Package release activities.

  • Ensures IRNs are issued prior to Package release for delivery.

  • Assists and participates in Quality audits/surveys on vendors, as and when required.

  • Takes time to ensure personal safety and recognizes safety concerns for fellow team members, reporting potential safety issues and unsafe acts.

  • Conducts/Participates in vendor audits.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation or related engineering.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Electrical & Instrumentation procurement for oil & gas/ offshore industries.

  • Possess CompEx certified (Module 11), ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, NORSOK / PED requirement, ASME / ASTM / API codes, DNV-GL codes and standards and basic knowledge of NDT.
