The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and managing the procurement function for the Group. This includes sourcing, negotiating, and contracting for goods and services, as well as managing supplier relationships. The Procurement Manager is also responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that support the company's overall business goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Sourcing
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals, focusing on cost-effectiveness, quality, and supplier performance. Identify potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Supplier Management
Evaluate and assess existing and potential suppliers regularly. Monitor supplier performance, ensure compliance with contractual agreements, and drive continuous improvement in supplier quality and service.
Cost Management
Analyze procurement costs and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service levels. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement cost control measures.
Contract Negotiation
Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions. Ensure all contracts are legally sound and in the best interest of the company.
Procurement Processes
Streamline procurement processes and procedures, ensuring optimal inventory levels in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Oversee intercompany transactions. Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency. Oversee logistics team to ensure timely import and export logistic support.
Reporting and Analysis
Prepare regular reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities. Analyze data to make informed decisions and present findings to senior management.
Events & Conferences
To represent the company at industry events & conferences.
Compliance
Ensure all procurement activities comply with local and international regulations, including customs, trade, and import/export requirements.
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
At least 7 years of experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing and/or physical commodities.
Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends.
Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
Key skills
Proficiency in English is required.
Fluent with Mandarin will be preferred as the role requires communication with Chinese Vendors and/or Stakeholders.
Strong negotiation skills and a track record of successful contract negotiations.
