A leading company in Singapore is seeking a full-time Procurement and Logistics Officer. The role involves managing supplier relations, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring timely shipment coordination. Job Responsibilities
Procurement Responsibilities:
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality products, and timely deliveries.
• Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future procurement needs in coordination with relevant departments.
• Review and update procurement records and documentation to ensure audit readiness and traceability.
Logistics Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound shipments, including customs clearance, freight forwarding, and delivery schedules.
• Liaise with transport companies, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective logistics operations.
• Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and documentation requirements.
• Optimize logistics processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and cost savings.
General & Cross-functional Responsibilities:
• Prepare regular reports on procurement and logistics activities, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and shipment tracking.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and warehouse teams to align procurement and logistics plans with business needs.
• Support internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement and logistics policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
• Candidate preferably possesses at least a Diploma or its equivalent. Otherwise, experience rather than formal education can also compensate and is a key requirement.
• Entry-level individuals are welcome to apply, as training will be provided.
• Candidates with experience in industrial sectors will be an added advantage.
• Regular hours, Monday–Friday
• English literacy is a MUST.
• Possess good communication, coordination and writing skills.
• Possess good computer skills
• Have initiative and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• While after-office hours work is generally not expected, the candidate must be willing to assist during urgent situations when required.
