Qualifications

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in purchasing technical spares and services for the Marine/Offshore industry.
  • Strong understanding of procurement for harbour craft and seagoing vessels.

Job description

New Maritime Pte. Ltd. is a leading Singaporean ship management and marine fuel logistics company, owning and operating our own fleet of bunker barges with our inhouse team.

We are looking for a driven and committed Procurement Executive to join our dynamic team to source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices, terms, and quality in supplies and parts to maintain the smooth operations of the company’s fleet of vessels.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support internal teams with daily purchase requests and ensure the timely issuance of purchase orders to meet fleet operational needs.
  • Actively participate in project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective procurement plans.
  • Lead procurement programs focused on cost savings, risk mitigation, and monitoring supplier performance.
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
  • Ensure procurement activities are conducted efficiently and in compliance with procedures.
  • Determine and verify quantity and timing of deliveries
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing carrying costs
  • Ensures PO/Invoices and vendor details are up to date
  • Prepare tender documents in line with company procurement policies and submit award papers for approval per delegation of authority.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking as requested by Management

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in purchasing technical spares and services for the Marine/Offshore industry.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and procurement support for harbour craft and seagoing vessels.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Proficiency in Procurement softwares and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
